Hi Lancita- I checked the database at ShopperStrategy.com (searched for "Axe"), but it seems all of the coupons for Axe products are only available from the 12/11 RedPlum insert. You might check with family or friends to see if they have that insert. You may also be able to get those coupons through Coupon Dede. I've never used the site, but check it out. Thanks for stopping by Julie! Your gift closet is a great idea! I too have had a lot of luck browsing through the Clearance sections of stores – even Walgreens! Sounds like you could be the Clearance Queen!

I love your Holiday savings tips…I am a firm believer in the shop ahead tip!
I have what I call my “Gift Closet” and I am always on the lookout for a great buy to use for an occassion in the future. I started my gift closet about a year ago by only buying clearance items from stores. And after only one year, I have a linen sized closet in my spare bathroom that is full of gifts ready to give at a moments notice. My fiance calls me the Clearance Queen….I never pass up the opportunity to shop the Clearance section of any store. You never know what you are going to find. I usually keep my spending to ony $5-$10 per trip. I have come out of a store with over a $100 worth of merchandise for about $6 by keeping my eyes open and planning ahead! It is worth 30 -45 mins of your time to take a look at every Clearance aisle.

Hi Erin-
I’m in the SW suburbs of Chicago. I know in our area they have an early edition of the Sunday Tribune that’s in stores by late Saturday morning. Sorry you didn’t get the RedPlum inserts (I’m waiting for my husband to get home with our papers, so I’ll be checking those when he gets home).

I read somewhere that the further away from Chicago you get the Trib. the less likely you are to get all of the inserts. And just found this http://www.mashupmom.com/?p=54586 on MashupMom that she’s learned Red Plum is no longer distributed in the Tribune in Northwest Indiana.

You can check the RedPlum Couponbook Finder to see if there are other papers in your area that may carry the RedPlum inserts.
